UK Scenery

With the release of an SRTM-3 european dataset is should be possible to build improved UK scenery with the better elevation model, as well as adding airport updates, 3d models of major buildings, bridges, masts, and anything else you can think of.

The improvements at Llanbedr (EGOD) are even more dramatic, although do show up some of the imperfections in the current version of the SRTM3 data.

Admittedly I've then used fgsd to add the buildings, but Church Fenton is starting to take shape nicely. No, you're not going mad - for some reason runway 06/24 appears to have been inserted backwards by the scenery build process. You'll find closeup pictures of the buildings on the models page.

Adding radio navaid models
